Macedonia

Many of you know that for years it has been our hearts desire to be involved in Missions. We have been willing and ready for God to show us where he would like us to be involved. While we wait for that purpose full direction to be revealed, we have been given the opportunity to serve on a short term mission trip to Macedonia. We will be traveling with a team from our church here in Wichita on June 4th. We will be gone 9 days and will be hosted by friends of ours that have been serving in Macedonia for over a decade. The trip will be to help build both a playground and a relationship with the Macedonian people, showing them God’s gracious love. We will also be teaching an English class as well as putting on a Vacation Bible School for the kids there. Both Geoff and I will be going as well as our oldest daughter, Grace. She has expressed a deep desire to be involved ever since our family went on a mission trip 2 yrs ago to a Navajo reservation in Utah. We are so excited for her and to be able to be part of developing her passion to share Christ.
We are sending out this letter for two reasons:
1)     So that you all may be part of the tangible work God is doing through prayer. Over the last few years we have come to know the extreme value of prayer in our lives as its importance has become the very air we breathe. We have already seen Him working in just the short time this trip has come about, and we can hardly wait to share every aspect of this journey with you.
A)    We will not be taking our other two daughters, Amia (8) and Zoe (7) with us. So please pray for them as this will be the longest that we have been apart. As well as my sister who will be watching them while we are gone.
B)    Pray for our hearts and the hearts of the people we come in contact with to be open and pliable to shaping of Gods masterful hands.
C)    Pray for all of the details and loose ends to come together both on our end and in Macedonia.
D)   Pray that we will be refreshment to the missionaries there and not a burden, with that pray that we will be flexible with whatever God has in store for us.
E)    For Grace (our daughter) to embrace every moment with enthusiasm and set aside all fear and worry. (She is not a fan of change) J
2)     If you would like to help further this trip and feel led to do so there is an opportunity for you to participate financially. The approximate cost of our trip is $4,500.  We have a paypal account set up on my BLOG so you can donate that way. (you don’t have to have a paypal account to use this feature) If you would rather you can make a check payable to MSCC and send it to:
Morning Star Community Church/Macedonia Trip 11010 E Kellogg Dr.  Wichita, KS. 67207
We don’t see this as just a few people making the trip but an entire team of people going with us. Thank you for being part of that team.
Geoffrey, Holland, and Grace Kisch
I will be updating my blog every chance I get so that you can also be part of our journey that way.
